It’s that time of year now when we can look forward to saving money on our air conditioning bill. Yes, a monthly bill for cool conditioned air. It accounts for 40% of the energy consumption in the average Arizona home, so why not call it the AC bill? Pretty much any other appliance aside from our refrigerator can break down and we’ll live a few days, if needed, without it. But not our precious AC!
While researching for information for this month’s topic, I found that APS has some pretty good information on money saving ideas.
For every degree warmer you set the thermostat, you’ll save 2-3% on your energy cooling costs – set the thermostat to 79 degrees and use fans to feel up to 5 degrees cooler! Check it out!
