Celebrating Mardi Gras with a party at home this year? Let us help with the post-party clean up with this information on how to deodorize your dishwasher! It’s so simple and inexpensive, yet makes such a difference. The caked-on food from your Mardi Gras feast will be no match for your dishwasher now!
The next time you visit the grocery store, head down the vinegar isle and grab a gallon. Yes white vinegar! The uses for vinegar, both white and apple cider are endless, but the cool thing is, with regular use it removes odors caused by food and residue that can accumulate in your dishwasher, garbage disposal, washing machine and all your drains, naturally and without harsh chemicals.
Once a month, place an upright coffee cup full of vinegar in the top rack, then start the dishwasher and run it through a cycle. Try and do this when the dishwasher is empty. Your kitchen may smell like a salad for a little while but the benefits outweigh the smell, which only lasts for a little while anyway.
